My engraved skeleton key arrived today...gee that was quick! How cute...I might wear it as a pendant, although it might be a bit big for that. I may put it in my shadow box along with my other skeleton keys...or I may just set it on this box & look at it!

I bought this all-stretch jersey dress for my changing "mommy" body! I ordered it last week & it came in yesterday! Yeah!

I know it looks big...I'm not happy about that either but that's where I'm headed!

DIY-moss terrarium!

So sorry this is a day late! I just finished the terrarium today so it doesn't looked "settled" yet!


With the excess amount of rain we had been receiving I thought it only appropriate to put all the new sprung moss to use!
Here's how I made my terrarium:

::choose your glass vessel, something with a top or lid
::fill the bottom with sand, less than 1"
::add a layer of Spanish moss
::add your soil, as high as you want your moss
~plant your moss on top [you should be able to either buy a variety or find some in the yard like I did!]

I would also suggest you add some rock[s] for the moss to grow on & maybe even some miniature people of plants for decoration!
I only had this decorative piece of rock that functions as both...

With a lid you should only need to water/mist your terrarium every couple weeks and give it some indirect sunlight.

a VERY Merry Mishap...

I really hesitated when I considered whether or not I should post this, but the truth is I'll want to start blogging baby gear and show the progress of our nursery, so here it is...

I'M PREGNANT!

We found out about 3 weeks ago, very much to our surprise, since we were thinking we'd wait 2-3 more years! I'm headed to the doctor's today to get my 1st ultrasound...

Happy [late] V Day!!

This year we really had to be frugal for V day so we slept in, ate yogurt with fresh strawberries for breakfast and drank coffee out of pretty teacups!
Then we walked the dogs over to the local market where Hubby bought one of my favorite lemon cake cookies for me. YUM!

I was surprised at what fun we had together without spending much at all...it did help, though, that husband also gave me a gift certificate for a facial!
Oh, I do love him!!

I'm in love with these dainty little necklaces by Jacqleen Bleu! I spent a good 20 minutes looking at necklace after necklace, it's truly a treasure chest!

I adore a room that brilliantly coordinates without looking like it's straight out of a home furnishings catalog!

Girly and fresh with some elements of glamour, like those golden curtains hung from the ceiling, makes me wish Teen Vogue would come give my room a makeover!

These finally came in the mail today, it seemed like almost 2 weeks to get these in! I already had one similar to this but after seeing these shelves [pictured above], I ordered more!

I love this faux sheepskin rug! It's made from artificial grass and recycled felt, I'd be happy to coe home to this every day!

Delirius is this great up and coming design duo that successfully uses contrasts of structured lines and feminine details! Their Fall line, some of it is shown above, is full of dreamy, draping jerseys and romantic accents of brocade and lace.

I personally like the ivory trapeze top that can be worn over the shoulder, almost poncho style,or sleeveless!

home tour...

I tried desperately to find the home tour from the Feb. issue of Living online but it was nowhere! I had to share so I photographed pages from the magazine myself!

I just love the natural, organic elements like the mix of stained wood present in every room, soft neutral colors that work effortlessly with each other and eye-catching contrasts of shiny, smooth glass accents!

I also like how the entire house doesn't feel "feminized", it could work for a man or woman!

Keep checking the site to see if they upload this tour & hopefully include few bonus shots!
